Definition

Baseline Scenario is the expected development of a number of related uncertain factors.

Examples

  • in the context of Stress Testing is a Stress Scenario that is designed to emulate the expected unfolding of events. It forms the basis against which unexpected events and their impact can be assessed on a relative basis. A reference case that represents the events or conditions most likely to occur in the absence of the policy or action (or package of policies or actions) being assessed.
