Definition
GHG Data Units are the units for expressing Activity Data and GHG Emission Factor value under the GHG Protocol.
The International System of Units (SI units) should be used for measurement and reporting of activity data, and all GHG emissions data shall be reported as metric tonnes of each GHG as well as CO2 equivalents (CO2e) (See Global Warming Potential)
Where only the latter is available, this shall be clearly identified and justified in order to be in conformance with the GPC Protocol. The same applies where emission factors or emissions data are unavailable for specific gases.
