Definition
XBRL Tag (or XBRL Mark) is to use XBRL Taxonomy elements to identify disclosures reported in an annual financial report. It means an XBRL Element name assigned to a piece of information that can be used to unambiguously identify it.
Example
<cash>1000</cash>
- the word “cash” together with the angle brackets “<” and “>” is a tag
- there are opening tags: <...> and closing tags: </...> which are recognized by the use of the backslash“/” before the tag name.
