Definition

XBRL Label is a human-readable description for an XBRL Element (in the form of literal text string).

Each element has a standard label that normally corresponds to the element name, and is unique across the XBRL Taxonomy.

Elements may have also other labels, in particular documentation labels containing more elaborate descriptions of the element’s definition, meaning, scope and application, translations in various languages etc.
