Directive)  It is the EU legislation that regulates providers of services that are linked to financial instruments, such as shares, bonds, investment schemes, and derivatives, and the venues where these instruments are traded. In April 2014, the European Parliament approved an updated version of the law, MiFID II, which expands the scope of the rules to cover more organizations and products.
