Definition

IPCC is the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change, an international body of climate change scientists.

The IPCC is an independent body founded under the auspices of the World Meteorological Organization (WMO) and the United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP).[1]

The role of the IPCC is to assess the scientific, technical, and socioeconomic information relevant to the understanding of the risk of human-induced climate change.
