Definition

Fund Management Company. The party that sets up the fund, decides the investment strategy, appoints the agents, and is responsible for the promotion and the marketing of the fund. It makes all of the important decisions related to the fund. Also called fund promotor or fund sponsor or fund manager.

In the US: operates on a percentage of the Portfolio assets under management.
