Energy Product[1]

Primary energy products are extracted or captured directly from natural resources such as

  • crude oil
  • hard coal
  • natural gas etc.

Secondary energy products are those products which are not primary. Secondary energy products derive from the transformation of primary products. Examples include

  • petroleum products (secondary) from crude oil (primary)
  • coke oven coke (secondary) from coking coal (primary)
  • charcoal (secondary) from fuel wood (primary) etc.

Secondary products may further derive from other secondary products.
