Definition
Data Proxy is the practice of substituting a missing or inaccessible data source with a comparable or related existing data source. Data from a similar process or activity that are used as a stand-in for the given process or activity.
Issues and Challenges
- It may be difficult to establish the representativeness or suitability of the proxy
