Definition

Data Governance and Compliance defines who is responsible for what and the policies and procedures that persons or groups need to follow.

Data governance requires governing the organization's own infrastructure and the infrastructure that the organization does not totally control. Data governance has two key components: understanding Compliance and risk, and organization performance objectives.
