Definition
Biosphere or Ecological Integrity. Integrity refers to an unimpaired condition, a state of being complete or undivided. Biological integrity has been defined as the ability to support and maintain a balanced, integrated adaptive assemblage of organisms having species composition, diversity, and functional organisation comparable to that of natural habitat of the region.
