Definition

An Administrator, in the context of Bank Resolution is a person or entity, including a government agency, appointed by the court or relevant authority, to operate a weak bank in an effort to conserve, manage and protect the bank’s assets until the bank has stabilised or has been closed. Also called “Conservator” in some jurisdictions. [1]
