Definition
Unlisted Equity encompasses all equity investments for general corporate purposes to businesses, nonprofits, and any other structure of organization that are not traded on a market.
Unlisted equity is also referred to as equity investments in private companies (i.e., the financial institute or other investor obtains shares of the company).
