Definition

Incineration with Energy Recovery. Incineration is the controlled burning of waste at high temperature. It is with energy recovery when the energy created in the combustion process is harnessed for re-use, for example for power generation. It is without energy recovery when the heat generated by combustion is dissipated in the environment.
