Definition
Project Development Lifecycle is the overall process of developing and executing a Project in the context of a Project Finance transaction.
The lifecyce includes:
- the design and planning
- the procurement of supplies, permissions, permitting and licensing, and financing and repayment
- the construction
- the ongoing production for the useful life of the project
- closure, decommissioning and restoration of a Project site
Indicatively, the lifecycle can range from one year for simple Projects to 15 years (or longer) for larger Projects.
