Definition

Ex Works. It is a shipping term included in a contract of sale meaning that the vendor fulfills its obligation to deliver when he has made the products available at its premises (that is, works, factory, warehouse,  and so on) to the buyer. In particular, the vendor is not responsible for loading the products for export, unless otherwise agreed. The buyer bears all the costs and risks involved in taking the products from the vendor's premises to the desired destination.
