Emissions Scenario

From Open Risk Manual

Definition

An Emissions Scenario denotes a plausible future pathway of man-made emissions (e.g. greenhouse gases and other pollutants,) that can affect climate.

These pathways are based on a coherent and internally consistent set of assumptions about determining factors (such as demographic and socioeconomic development, technological change) and their key relationships[1]

An emissions scenario is an example of specifying a Risk Factor in the context of a Scenario Analysis
