The Risk Management Job Profile Template is a generic job profile template that can be used as a starting point for defining a more specific risk management job profile. This is NOT a template for a job vacancy advertisement! It does not include any specifics about any particular type of hiring entity.

Description

Roles and Responsibilities

Description of the Key Activities performed by the role in the context of a Business Model.

Reporting Context

This is the approval entity, e.g. a person, body or bodies such as risk or management committees where this function is ultimately providing input to.

Seniority

  • Indication as to whether the function is formally segmented into seniority levels (e.g. junior, senior) that have materially different skill / qualification / experience requirements (thus not simply organizational arrangements).
  • Indication as to whether the person must be an Executive, or considered possessing Insider Information

Skills

Essential Skills and Competences

Description of the abilities, proficiencies, know-hows, skills the a person must *demonstrably* possess in order to carry out the risk management responsibilities. May include any subset of the following

  • Risk Management Skills
  • Business Skills (More general than risk management skills)
  • Technical Skills (Different from technical risk managemenent skills)

Qualifications are any formal certifications indicating that a person fulfills professional requirements regarding knowledge / skills, such as

  • Certifications
  • Accreditations
  • Admittance to professional societies etc.

Regulatory Aspects

  • Whether regulatory approval is required for the person / persons performing this function
