Master Credit Facility

From Open Risk Manual

Definition

Master Credit Facility. A pool of credit facilities is combined into a Master Credit Facility for more efficient management of credit.

This cannot be sold as a pool based security. The credit facilities are pooled, or brought together, purely for management purposes. Given that the semantics of Pool is that a pool is brought together to achieve some business goal, as distinct to being brought together for management purposes, this term does not follow the archetype of Pool although it is similar in many respects.
