Definition

The Market Risk Analyst is involved in the Risk Management of financial or real assets that are actively traded in markets.

The role is a specialization of the more general Risk Analyst function that is adapted to the specific risk types prevalent in businesses that have significant exposure to traded markets.

The role is an analytic function with the control aspects of market risk management being termed the Market Risk Controller function.
