Loan Guarantor

From Open Risk Manual

Definition

Loan Guarantor. Guarantor, that is the party which provides some guaranty for the loan.

Issues and Challenges

This means that the person who is the guarantor is going to guarantee payments to the lender in the event that the borrower does not pay. PoC data original definition: "Name of Mortgage Indemnity Guarantee (MIG) provider if applicable OR Name of (other) guarantee provider." This definition does not apply to this term any more - see detailed review notes which identify that MIG is provided by a different kind of party, to a different party, for different reasons. Implementation: MIG Provider is now a separate field in the combined SDM spreadsheet, and modeled as such, as Loan MIG Provider.
