Definition

IT Infrastructure in the context of Risk Management denotes the entirety of Hardware and Software along with Information Technology personnel, organisational structure, business process etc. that support the flow and processing of information within the organization that are relevant for risk management activities

As a term it is more general than Data Infrastructure (which places emphasis on Risk Data)

The (usually off-the-shelf) software and hardware components comprising the IT Infrastructure are

    • Databases
