Definition

Energy Access is the ability of an entity (in particular a country) to have available reliable and affordable energy resources. It is one of the manifestations of more general Energy Risk

Classification

Energy access can be further classified by the entity concerned (and the broad usage type that is enabled by energy)[1]

    • Electricity (General Purpose)
    • Cooking
    • Heating
  • Producting Engagements (In the private or public sector)
  • Community Facilities
    • Lighting
    • Health
    • Education
    • Community Buildings
