ESCO Taxonomy

This page collects for easy browsing the top level taxonomies associated with the ESCO Taxonomy (the Classification of European Skills, Competences, Qualifications and Occupations)[1]

Occupations

The occupations pillar is one of the three pillars of ESCO. It organises the occupation concepts in ESCO using mappings to the International Standard Classification of Occupations (ISCO)


Skill and Competences

Skills and Competences is the second pillar of ESCO. The different types of knowledge and skill/competences (including attitudes and values)

Qualifications

This is the third pillar of ESCO. Qualifications are the formal outcome of an assessment and validation process which is obtained when a competent body determines that an individual has achieved learning outcomes to given standards.
