Abstract

The Basle Committee has decided to amend the Basle Capital Accord, with immediate effect, to reduce the risk weight for claims on regulated securities firms, subject to certain conditions as set out in the formal text of the amendment attached. The opportunity has also been taken to substitute the word "claims" for "loans" in several parts of the text.
