An ATM-skimming gang has incited fear among residents in Krabi municipality after 40 cardholders had their electronic-card information stolen and used in fraudulent transactions worth more than a million baht. The thefts began on last Thursday and had continued up until Wednesday with the filing of another police complaint, the Daily News Online quoted PoL Col Plitthipong Nutchanart, chief of Muang police station, as saying. The complainant losing the most, at 323,868 baht, was identified as Taweepong Chareonroob, captain of Krabis provincial football team.
