Controlling Interest Party

From Open Risk Manual

Definition

Controlling Interest Party. Some party which holds some form of controlling interest in some other party in some context.

Issues and Challenges

This controlling interest inevitably means that the party exercises some form of control, however the precise degree and nature of that control is dependent on many factors, and so is defined as a separate party role (which may and usually is fulfilled by the same entity).
