OBJECTIVES: Head of Risk Management: formulate strategy and long-term planning to meet the business targets and ensure professional handling of all credits, investments, administrative, operational controls and end-to-end service of internal and external Risk processes. EXECUTIVE SUMMARY


• Developed and implemented corporate credit risk framework (policies and procedures across credit processes viz. credit review, credit risk strategy, credit approval, risk rating, & credit control processes) for many banks within the GCC countries. • Provision of a supervisory as well as an advisory role in assessment of risk-taking, risk governance, and risk control across the bank’s financing and investment activities. • Contribute to the formulation of strategy, business plan, policies and procedures to support Divisional and Organizational business strategy and set goals, objectives and measurable standards for the department’s activities. • Direct and oversee all credit risk related functions including the evaluation and approval/decline of all credit applications/ proposals, evaluation of the performance of the clients, effective monitoring and control of portfolio and its compliance and early identification of high risk accounts to minimize losses. • Implement synergies within the department’s functions and liaise and cooperate with other operation and business units to maintain the best interests of the Bank, regarding credit risk assessment and related processes.

• Effectively participated in the initiation & accomplishment of transformation of National Bank of Sharjah (Islamic Bank of Sharjah) from conventional banking to Islamic banking.. • Skilled at building & maintaining effective, productive working relationship with both clients & staff. • Proven ability to motivate & work effectively with persons from other cultures & different walks of life. • Strong managerial, planning, analytical, communications, decision-making, critical thinking, influencing, interpersonal and project management skills.
