Definition

A Test in Business Continuity context is a pass/fail evaluation of infrastructure (example-computers, cabling, devices, hardware) and\or physical plant infrastructure (example-building systems, generators, utilities) to demonstrate the anticipated operation of the components and system. An exercise whose aim is to obtain an expected, measurable pass/fail outcome.

In statistics a test is a method of statistical inference that aims to establishing the likelihood that a certain hypothesis is true.
