Definition

International Dollars. An international dollar would buy in a specific place a comparable amount of goods and services as a US dollar in the United States (i.e. used interchangeably with dollars in Purchasing Power Parity terms). It provides a way of comparing incomes or prices that accounts for the fact that prices differ from place to place.
