Definition

Emergency Operations Center. The physical location at which the coordination of information and resources to support incident management (on- scene operations) activities normally takes place. The facility used by the Incident or Crisis Management Team after the first phase of a plan invocation. An organization must have a primary and secondary location for an EOC in the event of one being unavailable. It may also serve as a reporting point for deliveries, services, press and all external contacts.
