Definition

The Business Recovery Time is an element of a Business Recovery Objective. The recovery time is the target duration of time to recover a specific business operation. [1]

A recovery time has two components:

  • the duration of time from the disruption to the activation of a business continuity plan; and,
  • the duration of time from the activation of the business continuity plan to the recovery of the specific business operation.
